Product Questions

When is the best time to take supplements?

All supplements are best taken at varying times of the day dependant on the reason for taking them, your goal, your personal preference and the product itself. For example, some supplements that are “one per day” are best simply took with food on a morning, whereas other supplements may benefit from split dosages and or specifically timed dosages. We’ve given a few examples of the most popular supplements and when best to take them below:

Grass-Fed Whey: As a dietary supplement whey is best taken at anytime of the day as a snack with yoghurt, as a shake in your Blender Bottle with water or juice or even mixed into curries or chillies. As an exercise or performance-enhancing supplement it’s best taken 1hr before exercise to provide energy for your workout, and within 1 hour after exercise to aid repair and recovery.

Omega 3 Supplements: Fish oil supplements are best taken with foods or meals containing fat, as the production of bile and enzymes used to metabolise the fats in your meal can assist and enhance digestion and absorption of your omega 3.

Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is best used as a baking, frying or cooking agent, but some people supplemented it once or twice per day by the spoonful for it’s energy boosting properties.

Magnesium: Magnesium’s uptake is thought to be higher in the evening due to it’s mild sedative affect on the nervous system, meaning evening dosages can enhance sleep and recovery if taken 1-2 hours before bed time. When should I take Grass Fed Whey with?

By choosing Grass Fed Whey, you’re essentially choosing to avoid commercially produced milk and all the nasty contaminants that comes with it, so we’d advise against mixing your powder with milk (unless raw). Instead, taking it with 150-200ml of water, fruit juice, rice milk or even mixing it with probiotic organic yoghurts is what we recommend. For more whey’s to take it – click here.

How long does the whey protein last?

If you use it to the instructions on the label, you should receive between 3 -5 weeks from each 1kg bag.

Can I take supplements on an empty stomach?

Generally speaking, most supplements other than fish oils can be taken on an empty stomach and you should not experience any adverse effects, although occasionally people may feel queazy. This is not a product specific problem and is very dependant on the person. With this in mind however, please note that most supplements are actually better utilised and absorbed within the body when combined with food, so where possible, take them with food for best results, but if not – don’t panic, and take them whenever convenient.

Im new to taking supplements, is their anything I should consider first?

As we sell only natural supplements, it’s very unlikely you’d encounter any adverse effects from taking our products, especially if you kept to the recommended guidelines we’ve included on the labels. If you’re taking any other medication however, have any serious illness, believe you are pregnant or have any other condition that you believe supplementation may interfere with, then you should always consult your GP first.

Can I get advice about nutrition?

For sure. Between our team of experts we’ll often have the answer to any of your nutritional questions, and we may already have covered it amongst some of the helpful advice, tips and articles over on our community page here. How to register an account as a customer?

To register as a customer and to receive special discounts, promotions, updates and advice, please click the “Login/Register” button in the very top navigation bar of our website. From there you can log in to your account, register as a customer with us and even join our affiliate network.

What happens if I change my details?

If you happen to move address, please update the relevant section within your account screen so that we don’t send your order to the wrong person. To do so, click “Log In/Register” in the navigation bar of our website to access your account, and then select the “Account Details” tab and follow the on-screen instructions to update your details. You can also reset or update your password in your account screen too.

How do I use a voucher code?

All voucher codes can be used when viewing the cart page. After adding your products to the basket, simply hover over “Basket” to the top right of the screen, select “View Basket and then enter any relevant discount or promotional code you have in the box on the below entitled "Use Coupon Code”. Next, simply hit apply coupon and your discount will be added.

Shipping & Returns Questions

How do I cancel or return an order?

To cancel or return an order, you can log into the Your Account section of the website and click “cancel order”. As we generally dispatch orders the same day (especially if received before 4pm), we may have already dispatched your order and in this scenario you would have to wait for the products to arrive and then submit a “return request”. Are my credit card details safe?

Yes. We make every effort to ensure your credit card details are 100% safe and secure and guarantee that your details will not be passed, sold or shared with anyone. Our web team have ensured that the maximum security procedures are in place to keep your personal information safe, and by using PayPal – one of the world’s biggest and most trusted online payment merchants – we can also ensure your credit card information is secure.

Can I have delivery to a different address than my payment address?

Yes of course. When placing an order just make sure you have input the correct address in the “billing details” section of the checkout form and we’ll send it to that address. Should you decide after placing an order that you wish to change address, please do so before 4pm on that day or before 4pm the next working day (if ordered after 4pm) to ensure we receive the new delivery address before we dispatch your order.

Do you deliver overseas?

At present Natural Nutrients will deliver overseas on a ‘by-request basis’ only, and does not actively ship internationally without prior arrangement. We do however ship throughout the entire UK. If you’re wanting our products sent to a different country, please contact support on support@naturalnutrients.co.uk and we’ll discuss what delivery options we have available to you based on your country of residence.
